Dr. Felix MUSABIREMA


Dr Felix MUSABIREMA, MD grew up in Rwanda, and later attended National university of Rwanda, college of medicine and health Sciences. He graduated there as medical doctor with First class honors. His training was made in various referral Hospital in Rwanda such as University teaching Hospital of Butare (CHUB), University Teaching Hospital of Kigali (CHUB), Rwanda military Hospital (RMH), king Faysal Hospital and many others. During college he has got many certificates, both national and international including NIDA clinical Trials Networks (international), Emergency Triage Assessment and Treatment Plus admission care for a sick Child (National), ASiT Foundation skills in Surgery ( National), Research and Dialogue for Peace (National ), Certificate in English Proficiency  from University of Rwanda, Training on Leadership and communications skills( National), Interdisciplinary forensic summer school by College of medicine and Health Sciences of Rwanda in collaboration with Hamburg-Eppendorf  medical center University in Germany. His Thesis (Research) was conducted at CHUK on Prevalence and Risk factors of opportunistic infections among HIV positive inpatient children, and its abstract was among the outstanding across the Globe and was accepted in American pediatric associations. He worked for 2 years at Butaro Cancer Center of Excellence (BCCOE) in Northern Province, Rwanda. He currently is Deputy Medical officer in charge of health and well-being of UN staff and operation peacekeepers at United Nations in North America, Caribbean region, Port-au-Prince, HAITI. In his free time, he is a podcast listener and adventurer. His dream is to become a global health fighter and intervention radiologist. “I have believed that health equity is one the most significant movement of our time, being able to learn from those who have gone before me and contribute with what I already have was an opportunity too rare to miss.
