Adekunbi Oluyemisi


Adekunbi Oluyemisi is a graduate of Babcock University, Nigeria. She studied Medical Laboratory Science and specialised in Medical Microbiology and Parasitology. Her undergraduate thesis focused on the prevalence of pneumonia and tuberculosis coinfection in  HIV patients on HAART. She has recently developed keen interest in Antimicrobial Stewardship, hence she has been taking courses and certifications both home and abroad including The Role of Diagnostics in Antimicrobial Resistance Response from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She has trained with various high performing diagnostic facilities and tertiary hospitals in her homeland, Nigeria. During her undergraduate studies, she took up vast leadership roles in both academic and extracurricular activities which gave her the opportunity to participate in numerous projects like organizing medical outreaches and blood drives in the surrounding rural community. She enjoys reading African literature and cooking for fun.
